1/2 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. molasses
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. whole wheat flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. cloves

Beat together the oil, the molasses, sugar and egg. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Chill dough for 2 hours or overnight.
